Mr. Morrison is the founder and CEO of Quadrant Research, the nation’s leading arts education research and market intelligence organization. Mr. Morrison’s leadership in research and public policy has led to significant advancements in access to music and arts education programs across the nation. Mr. Morrison and Quadrant Research are recognized as the pioneers of state arts education data reporting having spent more time with state arts education data sets than any other research teams.
Mr. Morrison was the managing partner for the groundbreaking New Jersey Arts Education Census Project (2007), completing the first statewide census for arts education in every school building now hailed as a model for statewide arts education research. Mr. Morrison has completed similar research projects for the states of Arizona (2009), California (2004), Michigan (2011), Minnesota (2012), New Hampshire (2011), Ohio (2013), Oklahoma (2009) and Wisconsin (2008). In May of 2012 the first follow-up longitudinal study was completed for the state of New Jersey.
Mr. Morrison’s work includes proprietary research, interactive data visualizations and market analytics for major corporations including Crayola, MakeMusic, Yamaha Corporation and Wenger. Mr. Morrison was one of the first Tableau Certified Analysts by Tableau Software. He created the first state level report based on State Longitudinal Data for Ohio. He served as the Data Task Force Co-chair for the State Education Agency Directors of Arts Education.
Prior to founding Quadrant Arts Education Research Mr. Morrison was the founder of Music for All, helped develop and then served as the CEO of the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, helped create the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation and served as a senior executive for the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM). Mr. Morrison’s national work in arts education has earned him both an EMMY and a Peabody Award, an honorary doctorate degree from the State University of New York.
